Economic mission in innovation at the occasion of the International Cybersecurity Forum in France

In-Sec-M and the Ministry of Economy and Innovation of Quebec, in collaboration with the Québec Government Office in Paris, are organizing an economic mission in the cybersecurity sector, which will visit Paris and Lille from January 31, 2020, on the occasion of the International Cyber Security Forum. The International Cybersecurity Forum (ICF) has established itself as the reference event in Europe for cybersecurity, having attracted nearly 10,000 visitors last year. The FIC is an annual meeting place and exchange for the digital ecosystem around the issues of trust and security, bringing together startups, SMEs and major contractors, the research community, public sector, the military sector as well as investment funds. In the program :

– conferences, round tables, workshops and technological demonstrations;

– a trade show and its B2B matchmaking platform;

– many networking opportunities;

– meetings and group visits.

 

Goals

Positioning Québec as a partner of excellence for the development of technological solutions and, more broadly, as a business and research partner, this mission aims, among other things, to help innovative companies, research centers and organizations Quebecers working in cybersecurity to:

– Initiate or consolidate technological partnerships with foreign companies in order to fit into the projects of major contractors;

– develop research and innovation collaborations with French, European and international companies and researchers;

– showcase the expertise and state-of-the-art infrastructure of the Quebec ecosystem; • to make reconciliations with foreign players that can accelerate the technological adaptation to European market standards;

– attract investment to vitalize the cybersecurity ecosystem in Quebec;

– perform a technological and competitive watch.

Registration, Costs and Information

The number of places being limited, they will be allocated according to the order of reception of the requests for registration.

Packages and rates

The Department may, due to circumstances beyond its control, modify the services included in the proposed packages.

Air tickets, transport between Paris and Lille, accommodation and meals are not included in these packages. Each participant is responsible for making his flight bookings as well as transportation between Paris and Lille, for which suggestions will be sent to you if necessary. It is recommended to quickly book TGV tickets Paris-Lille and Lille-Paris.

The In-Sec-M National Cybersecurity Cluster has reserved for you a block of 20 rooms (single occupancy) in a hotel located less than 10 minutes from Lille Grand Palais, where the FIC is held. Rooms will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, given their limited number. The deadline for booking is December 5, 2020. For accommodation in Paris, hotel suggestions will be sent to you.

Package 1- Visitor
Rate per participant: $ 500 plus tax (non-refundable)

This package includes the following services:

  • pass for the FIC as a visitor;
  • privileged access to the major contractors present thanks to a collaboration with the organizers of the FIC;
  • 90-minute presentation by a French cybersecurity expert;
  • group meetings with major contractors and other representatives of the French cybersecurity ecosystem;
  • visits to companies, research centers and government agencies in Paris;
  • group transportation during the day of visits;
  • networking cocktail from Quebec to Lille;
  • information session with the representatives of the Québec Government Office in Paris;
  • logistical and technical support for travel and accommodation;
  • mission book, directory of participants and accompaniment at the FIC show;
  • accompaniment by an adviser from the Ministry of Economy and Innovation or the economic attachés of the Délégation générale du Québec in Paris.

Package 2 – B2B
Rate per participant: $ 1,155 plus tax (non-refundable)

This package includes the following services:

  • all the services of the Visitor package;
  • a special pass including access to the B2B meeting platform of the FIC show.
