Cybersecurity Market Development Mission to Mexico

Cybersecurity Market Development Mission to Mexico

In-Sec-M, Canada’s Cybersecurity Cluster, invites you to take part in a market development mission to Mexico, a strategic opportunity for Canadian companies in the sector.

Why Mexico?

With 12% annual growth in its cybersecurity market, Mexico is now the second largest cybersecurity market in Latin America, behind Brazil. Investment in cybersecurity in Mexico is expected to reach 3.5 billion USD by 2026, driven by the accelerated digitization of businesses and critical infrastructures.

The country has been facing a marked increase in cyber-attacks in recent years, particularly in the financial sector, government and manufacturing industry. This context is creating an urgent demand for solutions in data protection, threat detection and identity and access management, among others, against a backdrop of a scarcity of locally available solutions.

A favorable framework for Canadian businesses

Thanks to the Canada-U.S.-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA), Canadian companies benefit from advantageous trade conditions and simplified access to the Mexican market. What’s more, the Mexican market is rapidly adopting international cybersecurity standards, opening up opportunities for Canadian solutions that comply with global best practices.

On the agenda

Meetings, activities and visits are planned with representatives from government, associations, academia and the private sector. B2B sessions with local integrators, resellers and distributors are planned, as well as meetings with end-buyers and representatives of major application sectors (e.g. financial, governmental, industrial, etc.).

Diversifying our export markets

In a political context marked by uncertainty and the rise of protectionism in the United States, particularly with the return of Donald Trump, it is more essential than ever for Canadian companies to diversify their outlets. Today, over 75% of Canadian cybersecurity exports go to the United States, making our industry too vulnerable to changes in trade policy. Mexico represents a strategic alternative for securing our growth and reducing our dependence on the US market.

Join us on this mission to explore the potential of the Mexican market and develop your business opportunities!
