A Smart cities, digital identities and cybersecurity workshop

On December 17 in Quebec City, Quebec International, Le Camp and In-Sec-M organized a workshop entitled Smart cities, digital identities and cybersecurity workshop that brought together 80 people.

The workshop provided an opportunity to take stock of the situation while looking at cybersecurity needs and solutions that the industry and innovators offer, in order to bring together those who have challenges and those who have solutions. The various stakeholders tried to better understand the cybersecurity issues and to discover the needs within the municipal sector, specifically in terms of smart cities and digital identity. They also showed six Quebec cybersecurity solutions tailored to this specific sector.

Pierre A. Roberge, digital identity expert and co-founder of SecureKey, presented a conference entitled A concrete “ID” of service to citizens for your smart city. Claude Perrault, vice-president of In Fidem, and Patrick Drolet, vice-president of Notarius, presented an example of a concrete and immediately available digital identity solution.
