In-Sec-M and Aéro Montréal Join Forces to Strengthen Cybersecurity in Aerospace and Defence Companies
The cybersecurity industry national cluster, In-Sec-M, and Québec’s aerospace cluster, Aéro Montréal, are proud to announce today’s signing of a memorandum of understanding for the strengthening of cybersecurity in aerospace and defence companies.
Thanks to this partnership, the whole Canadian cybersecurity expertise will be made available to an industrial sector vitally important to the economy of the province: aerospace. Interactions between stakeholders from both ecosystems will be greatly simplified by the creation of a joint committee, comprised of cybersecurity experts from leading-edge research centres, innovative businesses, as well as aerospace and defence representatives.
“A bridge has now been built between those who develop the best cybersecurity solutions in the country, and organizations for which strong cybersecurity is more than essential. Various activities, workshops, forums, round tables, trade missions can quickly be developed under the memorandum of understanding announced today. A strong cybersecurity is more needed than ever, and we are confident that the collaboration we’re announcing today will be beneficial”, affirms Antoine Normand, President of In-Sec-M.
“In this period of fundamental transformation, it’s more essential than ever to protect our businesses, and the population that depends on them. By signing this memorandum of understanding, Aéro Montréal and In-Sec-M ensure that the Canadian cybersecurity expertise benefits our aerospace companies, which will play a key role in the country’s economic recovery and bring safely, once again, travellers all around the world”, declares Suzanne M. Benoît, President of Aéro Montréal.
