Canada – Netherlands Cybersecurity Virtual Networking Event

A virtual event between Canada and the Netherlands was organized on June 18 to learn more about the cybersecurity ecosystems of Canada and the Netherlands, as well as meet promising peers and technology partners.

Organized by Invest Ottawa, with the collaboration of In-Sec-M, this cross-site allowed several members of In-Sec-M to meet with Dutch organizations that have an interest in the Canadian ecosystem of cybersecurity.

Several members were present, including IPtoki and FlareSystems.

Mathieu Lavoie, President and CEO of FlareSystems, participated at four be-to-be virtual tables: “It was really worth it! As our expansion in Europe is not for now, we were in exploratory mode, which allowed us to better understand the ecosystem there. We confirmed several elements in terms of sales, for example to prioritize the local hiring of employees or to favor local partners. We have developed several good contacts, including a sales representative and an investor in the venture capital fund. The next steps will be to keep each other informed and possibly to visit their facilities.”
