Our Special Advisor on Innovation, Health and Cybersecurity contributes to all the projects in electronics, telecommunications, transportation, renewable energy for start-up and growing businesses, and in the area of health privacy. Very active in the innovative ecosystem of Quebec, François Perron runs CyberQuébec.org, the CCTT in Cybersecurity of Cégep de l’Outaouais.

Specialized in cybersecurity research, notably at Queens University and Polytechnique Montreal, Dr. Jaafar is interested in cybersecurity in the Internet of Things, in the analysis and the improvement of the security and quality of software systems, and in the application of machine learning techniques in cybersecurity. Researcher at the Computer Research Institute of Montreal (CRIM) and an Affiliate Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering at Concordia University, he established externally funded research programs in collaboration with Defence Canada, Safety Canada, NSERC, MITACS, industrial partners, and foreign universities
